Code assessments are carried out in two phases:
Design Stage Assessment and Post Construction Review.
An initial assessment and interim certification is carried out at the Design Stage then final assessment and certification is carried out after construction (Post Construction Review).
Once the Preliminary Rating Report has been completed and the development has been designed to achieve the relevant Rating, we prepare the Design Stage Assessment.
The Design Stage is based on design drawings, specifications, written commitments, design team calculations and manufacturers information (similar evidence as to EcoHomes requirements).
The Design Stage Assessment is them submitted to BRE for quality assurance and an interim certificate of compliance.
